Transparency

Northern Pulp recognizes that building relationships based on trust and transparency takes time and significant effort. We are committed to transforming our approaches and processes, to invest in our social license to operate, and to build relationships based on trust and transparency.

Improve operational transparency

As a part of our plan to improve operations transparency we are committed to:

  • Adding a dashboard to the Northern Pulp website to display live environmental data, such as ambient monitors, mill recorded environmental data, water use, etc.
  • Updating the mill’s environmental management system to reflect the future operations and, once the mill is operational, have this system certified to ISO 14000 standards by an independent third party.
  • Retaining a third-party company to gather all environmental compliance samples and report the results to the mill, Nova Scotia Environment, and the community via the Northern Pulp website.
